Our Work in Partnerships
_edited.png)
Starting from the Quaker values and with our charitable status, one of Westdale's goals and our remit is to work to the benefit of the residents and the wider community. As a not for profit organisation we are always looking for ways to give back to the community and help people. We build professional relationships with other organisations and work in partnership to benefit of our residents and the wider community.

Rushcliffe CVS Partnership
We are very proud to be working closely with Rushcliffe Community Volunteer Services. Through our exciting partnership we have been able to share our resources and give back to the community in a meaningful way.
Westdale has a mini bus and Rushcliffe CVS has volunteer drivers so we now offer our bus for their use in community and in return we have fantastic drivers to take our residents on regular day trips.
People living in community can go shopping, go to events and attend appointments and crucially avoid isolation

Volunteers make a huge difference for real people!
St Giles Church
We have a close relationship with St Giles Church in West Bridgford, they provide us Church services at the home and are always welcoming to our residents in Church.
Musters Medical Practice & the Care Homes Team
We have a fantastic GP surgery we work with, Musters Medical Practice, and these provide fast caring medical attention to all our residents who choose to register there.
We also work with the associated local Care Home Team who offer invaluable support to our residents in areas such as general assessments, medication, dietary support, vaccinations and various referrals as needed. All new residents can access an assessment.
Notts LGBT+ Network
We are friends of the LGBT+ community and support the Notts LGBT+ network who are a volunteer-led registered charity. We want to help create a network of safe spaces for people looking for information, advice and help relating to LGBT+ issues, including sexuality, gender identity, sexual health and emotional well-being.
Westdale Care Home wants to be part of the solution to the issues elderly people from the LGBT+ community face.
Westdale has an open, welcoming and inclusive environment and we work to improve our understanding of the barriers faced by those in the LGBT+ community. We consider our selves Friends.
Duke of Edinburgh DofE
We support young people to complete their Duke Of Edinburgh awards by completing a period of work at Westdale.
Our residents love having young people to talk to and we like giving people a good early work experience.
Please contact Stuart the manager if you are interested to volunteer at Westdale Care Home

Exercise and fitness - Sophie & Richard
We have two amazing independent fitness professionals who come to Westdale on alternate weeks to provide stimulating exercise to promote fitness, mobility and help prevent falls.
