Rushcliffe CVS and Westdale Care Home Cutting loneliness together!

On the 12th of June Westdale Care Home hosted a Garden Party on behalf of Rushcliffe CVS to help combat loneliness.

In attendance was Rushcliffe Mayor Councillor Andy Brown he said of the event held in aid of loneliness week " By reaching out, offering a smile, a kind word, or a listening ear, we can create a ripple effect of connection and compassion.

"It’s these small gestures that remind us we are not alone and that we are valued.

"I encourage you to take part in random acts of connection. Whether it’s calling a friend you haven’t spoken to in a while, helping a neighbour with their groceries, or simply saying hello to someone new, these actions can help build a more connected and supportive community."

It is wonderful to continue our ongoing partnership between Westdale Care Home and Rushcliffe CVS we fully support Rushcliffe CVS’s efforts to support and help those in the community. Collaborative initiatives like these play a vital role in helping and caring for individuals in need. By working together, both organizations can make a positive impact and contribute to the well-being of the community.
